Yukon Strikers Soccer Club
Overview
The Yukon Strikers Soccer Club offers a chance for youth players to develop soccer skills and play games at a competitive level.
The Strikers are divided into the following categories:
- An academy program for U8 players (7 and 8 year olds).
- A development program for U10 players (9 and 10 year olds).
- A Club program divided into four age categories U12 (11 and 12 year olds), U14 (13 and 14 year olds), U16 (15 and 16 year olds), and U18 (17 and 18 year olds).
The Yukon Strikers Soccer Club program for U12-U18 players offers regular training sessions, participation in camps with high level Canadian Soccer Association coaches, and opportunities to play in tournaments.
The Yukon Soccer Association’s Technical Director oversees the club’s programs. The director guides player development, supports volunteer coaches, and works directly with the teams.
Club Identity
The Club’s colours are red, white and black, the traditional colors of Yukon competitive sport teams at national events.
The team crest carries the stylized image of a gold soccer ball that evokes the Yukon’s connection to the Klondike Gold Rush. Just as the Stampeders in 1898 sought success in the gold fields of the Klondike, our youth players seek to strike gold on the soccer fields.
