Representative Teams - Youth
Yukon Representative Soccer Teams train year round, both indoor and outdoor. Rep Team athletes attend camps and clinics provided by YSA, and fundraise to travel to tournaments in British Columbia, Alberta, Alaska and elsewhere. For details on individual teams, please see the following reports. For contact information, please see YSA 2000-01 Directory, or contact the soccer office.
The Yukon Soccer Association holds a number of Referee Clinics throughout the year, typically in April, just prior to the Outdoor season, and in September, just prior to the Indoor season. Certification is offered at the Youth Recreational (cross-field, ages 12-16), Youth Competitive (full-field ages 14-16) and Class III (full-field, ages over 16) levels. For more information, contact Head Referee Brian Gillen @ 668-5926.
Coaches
The Yukon Soccer Association offers Coaching Clinics throughout the year. We offer the Canadian Soccer Association's 'Community Coach Certificate' series, which has replaced the NCCP program for soccer.
For more information on Coaching Clinics, please contact the Soccer Office @ 633-4625.
YSA also offers coaches a selection of resources which are available for sign out, with a small deposit, at the Soccer Office.
For boys and girls teams, U12 to U18. For more information, please download the tournament flyer AND the registration form (Word format), and/or contact the soccer office.
An adult tournament is being planned in conjunction with this. Please stay tuned.
Other Events
YSA coordinates numerous events throughout the year, including several levels of referee and coaching clinics, the Juneau Exchange, Rep Team camps, and the Yukon Indoor and Outdoor Soccer Championships.
