The Legends

Who are "The Legends"?
We have an active 50+ club known as "The Legends". And while most of these Legends play in the Rapids league on Saturday mornings, Legends players are not required to be members of the Rapids. They are simply required to be 50+ in age or play like they are. (Injured Rapids players are also allowed one free run to test their health before they return to Saturday morning play.)

What Game do they Play?
The Legends have their own drop-in style of game with low nets on Tuesday nights at the Canada Games Centre. Players are asked to bring two jerseys with them for play...one white and one black. Teams are made up & balanced on the basis of who shows up each week. (Grey is considered neither black nor white for team selection.)

When do they Play and What does it Cost?
This year they are playing Tuesday nights from 8:15pm to 9:15pm on the fieldhouse at the CGC. Season's fee is $80 plus Yukon Soccer Association membership of $15. A fee of $10 per drop-in is charged for players not interested in paying the full season's fee.

Other "Legends" Soccer Play
The Legends are also active in competitive coed play as well (both indoor and outdoor). Indoor games may be organized for Thursday nights at the CGC at 9:00pm.
